India Rosa Brunch Review
Over the weekend, me and my boyfriend went to India Rosa for their Sunday morning brunch... And let me tell you, this is a MUST TRY brunch spot if you want high-quality food at a reasonable price!
India Rosa has been on our list of restaurants to try, and trust me when I say that it did not disappoint... in fact, it exceed all of my expectations.
Their brunch menu is a relatively new concept for the restaurant, whereby they implement various fusion dishes that are intriguing to say the least. They have 2 locations, one in Griffintown (the location we visited) and the other one in the Plateau.
Heres's a quick review of the restaurant, from the service to the food itself!
Atmosphere
As you first walk into the restaurant, you are greeted with an abundance of greenery from the plants, which makes for a warm and inviting ambiance. The interior design of this place is truly breathtaking, it's definitely instagram-worthy!
(I wanted to take pictures of the interior of this restaurant but I was too shy hihi so here's a photo from Google)
Food
Have you ever been to those super posh restaurants that will charge you an arm and a leg for the tiniest portion of food? Not going to lie, I had this perception before coming to this restaurant. But boy was I wrong...
The portions are MASSIVE! I cannot begin to explain to you how baffled I was when we got our plates. I had the chicken and waffles dish, which came in this beautiful presentation (as shown in the images below). It had this spicy honey sauce that gracefully surrounded the Masala waffles, which was garnished with sesame seeds and cashews. There were two huge pieces of Tandoori fried chicken, which was well-cooked, and of course, super crispy. It was the perfect balance between sweet and savoury. I did have trouble finishing this dish towards the end, it was that filling!
My boyfriend had the Benedict Butter Chicken dish, which was so delicious and flavourful! We were a bit skeptical about the eggs Benedict/butter chicken combo, but they work so well together! The chicken was very tender, and paired with the brioche bread, it was divine.
For dessert, we had their Tiramisu, which was more of a pudding with some pieces of cake (though still delicious and creamy!). By the time we had the dessert, it was hard to physically move because of how filling the main dishes were.
Service
The service was just as exceptional as the food, which was a win-win. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in terms of recommending food items to try (I wish I had gotten her name!). Our food came out very swiftly, though this could also be attributed towards the fact that we came in when the restaurant opened, so there wasn't too many people. I'd have to see what it's like during peak hours, but they seem to be very efficient and customer-oriented.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I cannot recommend India Rosa more than I already have, especially if you want high-quality dining without breaking the bank. With its generous portions and flavourful dishes, you are sure to leave this restaurant feeling satisfied. I highly recommend getting the Chicken and Waffles dish if you visit India Rosa!
This would make such a fitting date spot to visit with your s/o, or if you want to catch up with friends and capture those aesthetically pleasing food pics for your insta ;)
